Zschimmer & Schwarz manufactures a variety of fiber lubricants and fiber auxiliaries for use in fiber manufacturing as well as finishing agents used in the nonwovens industry. The following are some of the areas of application for our spin finish / fiber finish products.

BCF Yarn (Bulked Continuous Filament) Finishes

Z&S manufactures spin finish for use on Nylon 6 ( PA6 ) BCF, Nylon 6,6 ( PA6,6 ) BCF, Polyester ( PET ) BCF, Polypropylene ( PP ) BCF. Our finishes provide for efficient processing through the extrusion process as well as through the downstream processes.
Z&S’s spin finish formulations meet the demanding requirements for antistatic behavior, fiber to fiber cohesion, and fiber to metal and fiber to ceramic lubrication. Formulations are available for the finish to be applied as a neat oil or as an emulsion.

Multifilament Yarn ( Continuous Filament Yarn ) Finishes

Z&S manufactures spin finish for use on Nylon 6 Continuous Filament ( PA6 CF ), Nylon 6,6 Continuous Filament ( PA6,6 CF ), Polyester Continuous Filament ( PET CF ), Polypropylene Continuous Filament ( PP CF ). Applications range from low dpf textile yarns to high tenacity technical yarns used in tire cord. Our finishes provide for efficient processing through the extrusion process as well as through the downstream processes.
Z&S’s spin finish formulations meet the demanding requirements for antistatic behavior, low build-up in texturizing, and lubricants to control fiber to metal and fiber to ceramic friction. Formulations are available for the finish to be applied as a neat oil or as an emulsion.

Staple and Fibrillated Fiber Finishes

Z&S manufactures spin finish / fiber finish for use on Polyester Staple Fibers ( PET Staple ) and Polypropylene Staple Fibers ( PP Staple ). Applications include finishes for needleloom products, thermobonded products, siliconized fiberfill, spun yarns, concrete reinforcement fibers, and spunlace ( hydroentanglement ) products.
Z&S finishes meet the performance requirements for antistatic behavior, thermal stability, and lubrication. FDA compliant fiber finishes are available.

Nonwoven Finishes

Z&S manufactures finishes for use on a variety of nonwovens substrates. Applications include hydrophobic, hydrophilic, oleophilic, and oleophobic (alcohol repellent ) finishes.

Spin Finish / Fiber Finish Components

Z&S can also provide components for use in spin finishes and fiber finishes for customers who use their own formulations. Components include antistatic compounds, thermally stable lubricants, organic esters, fluorochemicals, silanes, etc.
